I am using FileMaker 5.5 on a Windows 2000 platform. Does anybody know what the maximum number of records is for a single database?

Thanks,

AFAIK, the same as FileMaker 6, which is 100 million (p. 21 in Using FileMaker 7). The limit for FileMaker 7 is 64 quadrillion (over the life-time of the file).

My file size is only 91.5 MB, but the number of records is 91911. If I add another record, I can enter information, but as soon as I hit enter, the information is no longer editable. I am the admin BTW. If I move to a different record and return, the data is gone.

Aside from being a really weird number, that didn't have anything to do with the problem. Not sure what happened, but I run the recover utility on the db and it works fine now. If this was a Microsoft product I would chant my normal mantra "Yet another fine Microsoft product..."
