FM5/W95 Why so slow to initialize?

For some reason, Filemaker Pro 5.0 v3 takes over 2 minutes to initialize when I first run it on my Win95 Pentium PC, 64M RAM.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and still a problem. Resetting cache doesn't help. I also tried installing it as a test on a good Win 98 running laptop and it initialises fine there. MS Access also starts up just fine on both machines. FM used to be much quicker in the past on this machine.

Anyone know what it's doing for so long behind the splash screen and Initializing.. message?
