We have a vacancy at the moment at the position of in-house FileMaker developer.

Salary: £25k - £30k (per annum, depending on experience)

We analyse our clients' energy bills and obtain quotations from the major energy suppliers. These energy quotations compare very favourably to those which are provided directly by energy suppliers to businesses, and to the current market conditions. Brokers work with senior management to secure energy contracts which meet the requirements of the policies and strategies of the organisation. This can result in savings, on both electricity and gas bills.

The company has an existing FileMaker based application and we are looking for a full time developer to build on the existing platform. Our FileMaker application is intended to operate as a CRM solution and also manage customers utilities for each of their respective sites and contracts etc. We would also like to develop solutions to cover online switching, weather/oil/gas/electricity market forecasting, price comparison generation, VOIP call recording management and various additional projects. Website integration will play an important role in the development so some PHP knowledge would be a plus. There is lots of work waiting for the right candidate.

Our company has opportunity to operate in the US and parts of Europe where we have existing agreement with utility suppliers. Our company is recession proof, in fact the recession can only lead to an increase in the demand for our services which help business to reduce costs.

Starting salary is £25-30k depending on experience and this is reviewed regularly every 6 months.

We are looking to fill the position by mid-August (or sooner) at the latest however don't hesitate to contact us after this date and we would also encourage all interested candidates to apply regardless of experience.

Competences should include the ability to:

• Work within a technical or specialist area of expertise in order to continuously improve the quality of the service and/or the product provided.
  
• Develop and comply with the systems, procedures, rules, objectives and timescales set by the organisation and take a disciplined approach when undertaking tasks.
  
• Search out errors, rectify omissions, perfect systems and procedures which will ultimately raise the quality and standards of all tasks undertaken.
  
• Provide the best possible solution to problem solving or decision making by conscientiously testing things, examining facts, trying different alternatives and thinking things through.
  
• Develop competences and expertise in both self and others in order to gain a satisfactory standard and deliver results within agreed timescales.
  
• Be consistent in the manner in which a task is tackled, creating sound practical procedures which incorporate checks for accuracy and ensure that tasks are completed satisfactorily.
  
• Seek direction and authority from others when and if appropriate, and achieve set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  
• Draw conclusions by probing into things and contemplate the consequences of any action that is likely to be taken by proving the reliability of the information available.
  

At least 2 years relevant experience is required although 4 is preferable. You'll be working in conjunction with our graphic designer / web developer.
