Double Click on Text Field

Featured Replies

I have a small Notes area in a portal row that I want my users to be able double click on and bring up a more robust Notes area. If they don’t double click I want the same functionality before the script, that was it edited the Notes in place when they click. I have seen some scripts that do this like this one (pic) but I think my problem is that I want click on the text area as the button that tells the script to run. Once this click is made it cancels out the double click procedure. I have played around with some script steps and move some other login into the script, but after spending some time I decided to try to get an answer to is this even possible.

If a text field is editable, than double-clicking inside it will select the entire word. That is the expected user experience and I wouldn't try and change it.
