Hi, I've purchased a CloudMail license. I'm going to use it in an environment with 1 FileMaker Server v14 and 12 FileMaker Pro v14 clients.

The database is already on the server, and the plugin is activated, but I'm not able to use CloudMail functions with a client that doesn't have the plugin installed.

How can I register the license and use the database from a client?

Thanks

Hi T_C,

If you are using the CloudMail.fmp12 file to use CloudMail then the scripts are currently set up to run locally. Hosting the file will not make the scripts use the plugin that you have installed on the Server.  You can only use the plugin on the server via the PSOS script step or scheduled script. You can modify the scripts to run on Server if you like otherwise you will need to install the plugin on your client machines.

Of note, if you decide to run the scripts via PSOS or scheduled script, you will need to modify them to have the registration function at the beginning of every script that is going to run on FMS.

Thanks Ryan,

can I register my license on all the fileMaker Pro clients? Or I need extra licenses?

An Enterprise level license can be used for an unlimited amount of users within the same organization so you should be able to use the same license for all your FileMaker Pro clients.
