where do i create local db folders for iwp?

i amrunning fmp7 iwp locally and want fmp7 to prompt for id/pw for list of dbs. where do i place the db locally?

It is not a question of where but they have to be open by fmp 7 and IWP has to be activated in the database.

Then access from web browser from another machine at

http://yourmachineipaddress/fmi/iwp

ie: http://10.24.101.23/fmi/iwp

So does this mean that I have to have FM7 open and running on my computer at all times in order for the web connection to work? I can't close the program, because this is what it seems like.

Yes and yes.

FileMaker Pro 7 must be running for the Web connector to be functional.
