IWP pop-up formatted FIELD not editable

Featured Replies

The FP7 help file states "Pop-up list ... users can always type a different value into a field formatted to display a pop-up list."

The help file does not mention that there is an exception for IWP users of the Pop-up list, at least, that's my experience:

in IWP the field formatted to display a pop-up list only accepts the pop-up list values.

Editing these values or putting other values in the pop-list is impossible (this is mentioned by the "instant_web_pub.pdf"),

but editing these values or putting other values in the FIELD appears to be impossible as well.

Am I right ?

In certain cases, I consider to define and insert a global field containing the value list to choose from, police size compar. small, select and drag (= copy) into the non-formatted field when needed. It's simple, and it looks and works well in the client as well as in IWP.

Moreover, pasting/dragging values into a field formatted to display a pop-up list (in the client) replaces the values already inside the field.

This risk and unpleasant behavior can thus be avoided.

I'm always interested in a better solution though !
