Publishing Reports with Calcs and Summaries in IWP

Hi - First post and new to FileMaker.

I have created reports with calc fields, sub-summary groups and trailing summary.

The reports are fine when previewed in the FileMaker application.

When publishing in IWP, the report format is wrong. It publishes in browse mode which looks like only one record for each sub-summary - and the trailing grand summary.

I see that the preview script step isn't compatible for IWP.

How do you publish this type of report?

Thanks,

Peter.

You really can't. This is still one one of the limitiations of IWP.

You won't be able to use summary parts at all on the web.

I think your only option would be to do some scripting to make a report that looks like what you are after using regular fields in a body part, although this could be cumbersome for a detailed report.

Cheers,

Sean.

Sean,

I'm going to take this subject over to the "Using FileMaker Online" forum.

You can get summaries in related tables to display in browse mode by defining a calculation field and using the related tables fields in agregate functions. For example; if you had a customer table and a table with all the items they purchased you could use Sum(Itemtable::costofitem) as an agregate calculation to find the total of items purchased.
