Could someone Help me with IWP login

Featured Replies

You can go directly to the website with the address. But if you click on the login file it comes up with a windows login window. I enter my username and login and hit ok. the login window goes away like 30 sec then comes back and tells me to login again but my administrator password for the server will not let me open the file. How do I get rid of this darn login window all together. I do have it set in IIS to allow annonymous logins but does not seem to be working.

Firstly, make sure that you can access the sample configuration that ships with Filemaker advanced. (FMServer_Sample_Config)

Out of the box, you should be able to get into this file by default, without the need to enter any passwords. If you can't, then there is probably an issue with your settings in IIS. Have a look at page 24 in the Filemaker Server Advanced Web Publishing Guide, and check that you have disabled IIS authentication as described.

If you can access the sample configuration file, then the problem will be with your Privilege sets. Set up a privilege set (e.g. IWPP) that has the fmiwp extended privilege - just this privilege if you want to be secure. Grant the IWPP privilege set whatever access it needs to records, layouts and scripts. Give this privilege to whatever accounts want access to the database over the web.

Make sure that the database you are publishing doesn't try a default userID. Now you should be able to go in using any of the accounts that have the IWPP privilege set granted.

The FMServer_Sample_Config is worth studying.
