I have set up two databases on IWP. Both can be viewed on the internet ONLY when I am logged into both databases on the computer at the same time through Filemaker Pro. As soon as I exit the databases/close filemaker, it says the website cannot be reached. How is it that I create the databases on IWP so they can be viewed at all times on the internet even when I am not logged into filemaker?

If the databases are hosted on your local computer, then they will only be available in IWP whilst they are active on your computer - FMP is providing the web hosting services for the databases in this situation.

If you have a spare computer you could load it with Filemaker Pro and leave it running this all the time with your two databases on it. This will allow you to have up to 5 concurrent users log in via IWP at any time

The other option is to implement Filemaker Server advanced on a suitable server on your network and host the databases there,

Howdy, A! Just to add on to what Brain has already said... As far as I know, FM always runs actively as a logged in user but the user that is logged in does not necessarily have to have access to all the data. We open our db's and they show up as NO ACCESS for most of the fields but they serve just fine over the web. Our Apache/MySQL/PHP system, on the other hand, just has to be on and can sit unlogged in and serve since Apache runs a the shell/command level and not the GUI level.

We have FileMaker auto-open on boot and it opens an OPENER file which executes a script on opening to open all the databases we want web published. We even have the windows hidden on opening so accidental keyboard or mouse input is not a factor.
