this is probably quite simple but i have been struggling with scripting this for the past week.

i want to allow users (via IWP) to make a selection from a value list and perform a find for all the records that match this selection. The value list only has 5 values. I want to attach the script to a button that performs the find after the user selects the value from a pop-up list.

any and all assistance with the specific script steps appreciated! i am just drawing a blank at this point.

you have to do it the other way...you have to enter find mode..then choose from the list...unless you have a copy field before find and a paste afte the find mode is entered

Thank you! I finally figured this out late yesterday.

Now I have a button on the page that goes to a different layout which then enters find mode. It's working great.
