Newbies morespam Posted September 29, 2005 Newbies Posted September 29, 2005 Hi, I just recetnly installed the retail version of FM8 (I had been using FM8 trial for a few weeks) and I seem to have run into a problem with IWP. I turn on IWP on a database and I can connect to the FM8 IWP "front page" but when I select my database from the list (there is only 1) it comes back with an error "The maximum number of users allowed to connect to this server has been reached" yet I am the only one trying to connect to it... I also noticed that under the IWP -> advanced options next to the option to change the port# it says "Maximum number of connections: 0" Does anyone know why this is so? is there a setting that has to be changed?
VICH Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 it did that with me while useing fmp 7 try making sure you don't have fmsever running at all...cause that messes things up sometimes...and make sure that you have a user timeout set to a reasonable time and that you log out when finished using the page
Newbies morespam Posted September 30, 2005 Author Newbies Posted September 30, 2005 I dont have FM server installed and this is the first time I have tried IWP since I used it in the trial version (it worked with trial). I had FM7 (retail) FM8 trial befor FM8 retail, and I had problems uninstalling FM7 and FM8 trial befor I could install FM8 retail. I had to delete the folders for these apps and then manual remove registry entries for both FM8 trial and FM7 befor I could install FM8 retail. Everything else is working fine exept for this, I wonder if the above could have caused this problem.
VICH Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 if you were miving folders around there is a chance...make sure you web plug in is in the right folder
