IWP: IMages In Containers Within Portals = No Good

Featured Replies

Using any browser.

I have a portal on my layout with (of course) some related records, along with some graphics in container fields that are related to that table.

(To show if there are new messages in a ticket, etc...)

Works fine in FMP, but in IWP, you get the white box with a red X.

I tried readjusting my relationships, etc... but to no avail.

If I drag the container field out of the portal it works fine also.

Anyone seen this?

Images in container fields (stored in the DB, not just references) will only show if they're on a layout that is directly (e.g. cross-product) related to the table where the image is stored. (This behavior only applies to IWP, as it works fine with a FMP client).

Since the container works outside the portal, the relationship between the layout's table and the container's table is the kind needed.

I'll have to get back to you and make some example files, I'm tied up in something else right now.
