I have a field that shows a value list in Filemaker Pro. The list is a number and a description. eg) 4 Schoolname

The number and name are coming from the 2 fields in another file ie) schoolnumber and schoolname.

With IWP in a Safari browser the list will pop up but only shows the number. I tried widening the field quite a bit, but still it only shows the number. Has anyone experienced this. Is there a solution? Thanks in advance.

This is the expected (if not desired) behavior in IWP in fmp7. The workaround is to use a list showing only the second value to choose by that value (in a global field), and then use a lookup to populate the key value in the actual field.

Or you can upgrade to fmp v8 where the second values do show in IWP as you would expect. (I'm still waiting for the release of Server Advanced 8 to implement this)
