Sliding buttons

Hello All,

When someone clicks on a record in List view it, as we know, brings that record to the top of list and omits any records that came before it. In order to avoid this happening to my users, I've decided to try using a portal in Form view instead. I've opened the body part to display 20 portal records at a time (the body is approx. 3 in.). Everything works fine, except for one thing: I need to put a few buttons at the base of the portal, such as a Previous/Next. I put these buttons in a footer part. All looks fine except on the last page (viewing from the web), the buttons will show up somewhere below the last record in the portal, e.g. if there is only one record on the last page, you will have to scroll way down whereas if there are 19 records you will only have to scroll 3-4 inches.

How can I get the buttons to show right below the last record in the portal on the last page?
