commit record problem

I am building my first IWP solution. testing with a local IP address. a simple scripted button to commit a record does nothing. Leaves user with no change to the edit record state and does not add the new record to the database. What am I missing?

Also, what needs to be done for a reset button?

Oops. The problems were with script access privileges.
