I'm using the win200k. I have enable my filemaker pro 4.0 web companion plugin and set the port number to be 80, enabling the instant web publish and enabling the multiuser in the sharing.

All Gurus, is that all that is needed to set up the web companion?:??

What should i type in the other computer so that it will be able to see the instant web page for my database????

Do i need to put my file in any special directory????

The 'client' browser will need to look at the IP address for the FM computer e.g. "http://123.123.123.1". If the port number was 81 then the address would be "http://123.123.123.1:81".

The first page will need to be in the "Web" folder within the FMP directory.

I thought that with instant web publishing, we don't need to creat any html file already????

With 'Instant Web Publishing' you don't need to worry about having a first page in the Web folder.

Your database can be anywhere.
