Aditya Posted June 4, 2001 Posted June 4, 2001 I am running OS X and my problem is with web sharing using File Maker Pro 5.0. I have turned on the web sharing and I am able to see the default page successfully but when I try to open the different port (what I define in File maker pro web sharing options) it causes following error: Unresolved kernel trap (CPU) ... ... ... Generating stack backtrace prior to panic: Backtrace: 0x00fc718.. .... ... ... ... Memory access exception (1,0,0) Waiting for remote debugger converter Option type continue
Garry Claridge Posted June 4, 2001 Posted June 4, 2001 Which port are you using? Have you tried a different port? Is the port above, or below, 1024; i.e. did you have FM make a change to the OS X permissions for use of ports below 1024? All the best. Garry
Garry Claridge Posted June 4, 2001 Posted June 4, 2001 Whoops, just noticed that you are using 5.0, not 5.5, hence I think you will have to have a port number above 1024. Hope this helps. Garry
Aditya Posted June 5, 2001 Author Posted June 5, 2001 Thanks for the mail. I can now see the shared files on web after installing file maker pro 5.5 but still curious to know why was the problem thanks aditya
Garry Claridge Posted June 5, 2001 Posted June 5, 2001 I can repeat a similar crash if I use Netscape Navigator in Classic and type in the localhost IP address. I have not tried it with 10.0.3 . I guess they are 'teething' bugs! All the best. Garry
