System Crashes !!

Featured Replies

I am running OS X and my problem is with web sharing using File Maker Pro 5.0.

I have turned on the web sharing and I am able to see the default page successfully but when I try to open the different port (what I define in File maker pro web sharing options) it causes following error:

Unresolved kernel trap (CPU) ... ... ...

Generating stack backtrace prior to panic:

Backtrace: 0x00fc718.. .... ... ... ...

Memory access exception (1,0,0)

Waiting for remote debugger converter

Option type

continue

Which port are you using? Have you tried a different port? Is the port above, or below, 1024; i.e. did you have FM make a change to the OS X permissions for use of ports below 1024?

All the best.

Garry

Whoops, just noticed that you are using 5.0, not 5.5, hence I think you will have to have a port number above 1024.

Hope this helps.

I can repeat a similar crash if I use Netscape Navigator in Classic and type in the localhost IP address. I have not tried it with 10.0.3 . I guess they are 'teething' bugs!

All the best. Garry
