Hi, All my databases are accessed via web companion and I have recently updated from FM5 to Fm5.5 and I now am having problems. The web companion keeps crashing, sometime crashing FM5.5. I can get the web companion to crash out if I view several pages in

Is FMP running as an application or a service? last I heard from FileMaker Inc, FMP 5 was *not* to run as a service. I dunno if MP5.5 is OK or not.

FM5.5 is running as an appliaction. I have contacted FM support and they can't suggest anything. I tried to back track and re install FM5 but when I do this I get page error messages on all navigation within the database forms. I am sure its the web companion because you can still access the files via the FM programme on the host and from others machines on the network using FM5

O.K. I have found that any activity on our intranet will cause the wed companion to crash. I have since moved the hosting to a PC on our network and everything works just great. This get me up and running, but why does FM5 run on my server and FM5.5 not :

Did you un-install FMP5 before installing FMP5.5?

I have tried all combinations of install to try to get FM5.5 to work on my server. Installing over FM5, installing FM5.5 after uninstalling FM5. re-insatlling FM5 with and without updaters, in "safe" and standard mode, with and without network connections. My only failsafe success has been installing FM5.5 on a PC on the network which is annoying because FM5 worked great form day one on my server and I hate giving up on a problem, but business comes first.
