Lieven Posted June 7, 2001 Posted June 7, 2001 I would like to add some text formatting (bold, italic) to the result of a calculated field. Is there a way to have HTML tags (like <b> ), included in a field, interpreted by the browser while using Instant web publishing?
Vaughan Posted June 8, 2001 Posted June 8, 2001 AFAIK no, not using Instant web publishing. Welcome to Custom!
Lieven Posted June 11, 2001 Author Posted June 11, 2001 Thanks Vaughan. Then I have another question: Does Custom build further on Instant? I mean, with the FM Developer Edition, can I combine Instant and Custom pages? (I know Lasso, so I have an idea what FM Custom boils down to. Since Instant covers 95% of my needs in my current project, I'd like to keep using it as much as possible. So the ideal situation would be to have most of the things done by Instant and cover the few special needs with Custom). [ June 11, 2001: Message edited by: Lieven Baeten ]
Vaughan Posted June 12, 2001 Posted June 12, 2001 No, it's an either/or thing. Either the database is rendered with HTML format pages supplied by Web Companion through Instant publishing, or you build them all yourself.
