Serious IWP Bug with Ampersands

I've discovered that FMSA8 has a serious bug with ampersands -- I have a global field that is populated by a value list based on a field. Some of the values include Ampersands, e.g.:D

I'm finding that, under IWP, if you choose a popup with a value that includes the Ampersand (e.g. "Math & Physics"), if a portal is related based on that field, what you get instead is a match based on the text prior to the ampersand (e.g. it matches "Math" instead).

I'm sure that I can workaround this by creating another calculated field that strips off the ampersands, but this seems like a pretty subtle and nasty bug. Be warned!
