dpccgf Posted December 27, 2001 Posted December 27, 2001 I really like the way a form is presented in Instant Web Publishing, but need to tweak it a little by removing the Edit and Delete functions. That's all. Can this be done in IWP, or do I use CDML? Also, can the same form "presentation" that is done in IWP be done in CDML? Thanks!
Keith M. Davie Posted December 27, 2001 Posted December 27, 2001 AFAIK IWP = wysiwyg That means no tweaking. Learn html and cdml. Be prepared to glean a little JavaScript. Life is good. This will take you several months of Developer enjoyment.
dpccgf Posted December 28, 2001 Author Posted December 28, 2001 No problem on HTML. Will learn CDML. However, with either of these solutions, can I get the "professional" looking form in my web page the way IWP does it? Or do I just place the DB fields on the web page.
Keith M. Davie Posted December 29, 2001 Posted December 29, 2001 When you do custom publishing, if you really, really like the IWP format, you may be able to copy it from View/Source and then use it with your alterations as one format file in your package. I've never tried to use the IWP feature, so I've never checked the View/Source in relation to that feature. If you do not have it, get a copy of the cdml reference.fp5. A link to that has been posted many times on the cdml forum. Good luck.
