Newbies PyreX Posted March 22, 2002 Newbies Posted March 22, 2002 Hello, We have a filemaker pro 5.5 db with 4000 records. We have to publish this to the web. Related to the records we have an ms word document.(each record = one word file) The Problem. We want to know how we can link the word documents to our record though an internet browser (iexplorer). We've stuggled with a button wich had a script attached to it( the script is: open url from field) but in iwp it only opens the first record. And we want to use our own layoutdesign? another try from us..... Our own default page but we can't generate the button with a script. Hhmmmm is this clear? We we search for records we find them in a table. but we cannot acces them because the open butten has dissapeard. Is there an other way to link word documents without a script? Or is there a script that that generate an "open url" button Thanx for reading this story... hope to get a solution from you guys(and women???) Thanx anyway! Niels, Amsterdam , Netherlands

You can use cdml to run a script, either from a form or a url. However, you will need to use cdml and not iwp! All the best. Garry
