Newbies maclaine Posted February 20, 2007 Newbies Posted February 20, 2007 Hi all, I would like to provide a 'login link' to clients so they have simply click on the link and automatically login to the database through IWP. I have seen this explained before, but I didn;t make notes on how it was done. Any advise would be welcomed. Thanks.
PatMonks Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 This is a link to a page which explains how to automate login: http://edoshin.skeletonkey.com/2006/12/how_to_bypass_t.html I have also taken his technique and used it inside of a redirect on a custom home page so that the login happens without the user clicking anything to enter my site (www.nikkomedia.com). I added the following to the header of my custom home page: This assumes that you have an account named "webguest" whose password is also "webguest" already set up in your database and that IWP priviledges are enabled for that account.
Thirdwaver Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Do you know if your solution (embedding the username and password in the redirect URL) works with IE on Windows? I've had bad luck doing this, but admittedly I've never tried it in a redirect. Sean
