Newbies maclaine Posted April 20, 2007 Newbies Posted April 20, 2007 Hi all, I have a database published for the web with IWP, however everytime a user hits the 'Back' button, it sends it a bit screwy. Is there any way to either disable the 'Back' button, or have the brower actually go back to a previous page? Thanks
Genx Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Hmmm, Unfortunately, no... But if you were to put your own back button into the solution then your user may not be so tempted to push the browsers button. e.g. http://www.fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/183766/post/236519/hl//
robeerski Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Allong with adding your own back button to the layout, you could also open the IWP session in a new popup window with a small Java script and turn off all the explorer toolbars effectively removing the back button supplied by the brouser and forcing your user to use the back button you supply. The only negative here is that many people have popups blocked.
Genx Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Hi Robeerski, Got any code for this by any chance? i.e. stripping the toolbars? Cheers.
