New to Web Publishing - Lots of questions!

Featured Replies

Any help is most appreciated. I am looking for the best way to host a set of databases on my server. I would like to be able to lease my database solution to customers and keep their database a dedicated server.

First of all, is this a viable solution with FM Pro? What are the limitations? Is Web Publishing an option for this?

I just tried Web Publishing today and I can already see the first big issue I'm going to have. If I serve up a set of databases then every person logging in over the web is going to see everyone else's database. This is also an issue with stardard file sharing over the internet using FM Pro as the client. Is there any way in either case to hide the other databases from the person logging in?

I guess what I'm really looking for is any advice on how to properly host a set of Filemaker Pro databases. Thanks.

New user here.

I am having the same problem. Tried to limit access via privledges via a log in and restricting specific layouts to a log in.

Cannot get the layout to run properly in the web publisher even though it works fine in FM pro. Shows the entire table and does not omit data.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help.
