May 1, 201411 yr I have a solution that uses WebDirect to publish a list of files stored in a container. Is there a way using a url to direct download a file stored in a container?
May 1, 201411 yr You mean for the user to get / download the content of what is in the container, right? Not for the user to insert something into the container. Since the user is already in WebD, you can just script it right? Or do you want the user to NOT be in webdirect and just have url to the container data?
May 2, 201411 yr Author Thanks. The latter. Just want a url straight to downloading the file (field contents)…is this possible?
May 5, 201411 yr Perhaps you can create a url that will direct to your web server and to the container docs path and thus directly access the file? C.D. I wish there was some support for direct urls' including logins, and passing vars so that we could email out links to things. C
May 5, 201411 yr Thanks. The latter. Just want a url straight to downloading the file (field contents)…is this possible? You'll need to look at CWP for this, not WebDirect. There is a good custom web publishing guide on the FM website.
