Enabling Web Companion Upon Loading

I've noticed that the file I intended to share using Web Companion that is hosted by FM Server does not automatically enable Web Companion when the file is loaded. Is there any way to do this?

1. close the file on the server

2. open direct on FMPro client with WC enabled (application prefs)

3. in sharing enable web companion for the DB

4. close file on client

5. open on server

6. open thru hosts and you should find the WC enabled in sharing.

Hmm, the share properties are now saved, but now I cannot open the DB through http. Using Instant publishing, it just reloads the "Select DB" page. The error logs say:

An exception has occurred!!!.

Most likely FMPro ran out of memory for this request.

Try relaunching FMPro with more memory.

Memory is perfectly fine on the machine. Any ideas?

If you are sure the settings in cofigure WC are correct and it is the latest edition of WC from Filemaker website then the problem more than likely is in the database. Have you tried IWP with another database? might give you a better idea of where to start looking for the bug.

You may have a corrupt image or something similar ... ?

good luck
