Possible cure for -raw in WC

Featured Replies

I've been flicking through the posts trying to find a plausable fix, and I think I've created one.

I've managed to alter the WC with a hex editor, so that the -raw command (host/fmpro?-db=[database]&-format=-raw&find) doesn't work.

What I'd like to know is whether this will create any problems? The WSC doesn't seem affected...

I realise this wont affect -dbnames etc (Im guessing WSC probably needs this) but it's the main cause of alarm as it actually turfed the database contents.

Well done! We just need FM to have on/off toggles for this in the WebCompanion setup window.

Thank you.

It's too large to attach to this message, so i've put it on my server.

No comments about my site please, it's undergoing a server change. It'll be offline for a couple of months as I gather enough funds to afford some hosting.

(DNS's might take a day or two to update).

I just hope people remember that I was the one who did it smile.gif So many credit takers now-a-days... hehe

RE: I just hope people remember that I was the one who did it

You will have to give it a name like the "PotzFix" or "NoRawPotz"!

This will keep them honest. wink.gif

All the best.
