I have several databases up and running fine, however I have one that prompts me for the username and password to connect to the server. I click on "Submit" to enter a new record and up this pops. I've checked and double checked the other db's configurations and can find nothing different.

Any thoughts on this?

R

Do you use the security dbs or internal security ?

using the security dbs.

Hi, R! My guess is that your Web Security Database setting has more users than just ANY USER and that ANY USER is not set to allow NEW RECORDS. Since someone else listed probably IS allowed to make new records, the dialog pops up for login since your web form action (new record) is a privileged action that ANY USER cannot do.

If not this, then maybe it is a layout or field that is being accessed. Access Privileges can override/interfere with WSD, so check that, too.

Just guesses, though!
