Is it possible to start a print job on the server using the instant web publishing?

Following problem must be solved: We are running a Filemaker 7 Pro on our local network. The Database is published and used over the IWP. Everything works fine instead of printing. The server has access to every printer in the network. Can a print job be started from the IWP? Any Plugin can do this?

Thanks for your help.

Triggering a printjob over the IWP works. You have to use the Troi Activator Plugin.

But now i ran into problems selecting the right printer. The FM7 internal "Print Setup" Function doesn't work when dialogs are turned off.

Which PLugin allows changing the default printer in Windows?

What are you using to call this plug-in? Troi's, even if I use the events plugin which is supposed to fire off a script when a new record is created it wont work. How are you getting troi's plug-in to work?

A couple of questions on how your WebTrigger works for printing. Does it just take the default printer of the users machine? I downloaded the demo, should I be able to actually print or is that only allowed in the full version? Can this be used in combination with your Printer select plug in?

It should print whatever is tehre to be printed with no problem.

Yes, It can be used with select printer, be sure to work with the printer select demo. The demo installer creates a folder called fmwebschool in your program files folder. The plug-n is located there.

There are numerous demo's, check them out smile.gif
