as far as i noe, the send email script is not web compatible. Is there anyway to work this out other than the open url method? The email must be dispatch automatically without the user's system opening the email application.

I used a combination of the Open URL script and PHP to send emails. Simply, the script sends a string to a page where the PHP script takes over the variables and uses the internal mail (postfix in my case) to send the email.

thats what i have in mind actually but will only resort to it if there is no other way out..

use smtp plugin. That will work in a scripted iwp enviroment

I have tried using the smtp plugin but it doesnt seems to be functioning right over the IWP. The page just hang there trying to send out the email.

Is SMTP plugin compatible with FM IWP?

Anyone tried using this plugin over the IWP? Care to share your experience?
