chasm24 Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 I just set everything up on the host computer to publish two databases on the web. as i understand, all that my remote users need to to is put http://<ip address> to find the two dbs that are posted. I tried to access the dbs through iwp on a computer in my office and it worked fine, but when i tried it from home (on my pc that does not have filemaker), it said "cannot find server". is there something else i need to do? how can i share these databases to other computers outside my office? thanks for your help.

Balder Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Hallo, Another possibility might be the configuration of your adsl modem... (i assume you use a modem, if not, forget this post....) check NAT or NATP, specify in NATP the outside address and port(probably 80) and inside port and ip-address of the
GoAng Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 We've had a similar problem here. Port 5003 has to be open for filemaker. This is for both filemaker 5 and 7. Maybe this will help.
