hamelekim Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I have been doing some research on hiding the sidebar for my database on the web. I have 17 layouts that can be viewed from the web, but I have buttons to go between the records and the layouts. I have tried running a startup script to hide the sidebar but that doesn't seem to work. Is it even possible to hide the sidebar on the web, with a dynamic webpage?
Zero Tolerence Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 With IWP you can hide the status bar, the same way you would hide it in a filemaker set up. First I guess the silly questions. Do you have your file set up to run your startup script when it opens? Make sure you have it set to Hide and Lock, not toggle or something.
Newbies FMForrest Posted January 16, 2006 Newbies Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) I have the same problem hiding the status bar when calling up a database using a browser. The startup script calls for the Status area to be hidden and locked, but to no avail. The startup script DOES work with FM8. This browser failure seems to be a defect with the FM8 program. Does anyone have the same problem? Any known fix? Edited January 16, 2006 by Guest
Newbies FMForrest Posted January 17, 2006 Newbies Posted January 17, 2006 I figured out an answer to hiding the status bar when opening a browser window. The hide status bar scrip step must be placed first in the startup script. Otherwise, it doesn't work.
