rome33 Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I am having a MANY problems with Instant web publishing. It will not longer let me enter data in a lot of records because it says the record does not exist. The Instant web publishing records do not correlate with the actual filemaker database files. They each show that their are 99 records but with Instant web publishing Asset #48 is record 14 and in the filemaker file it is 12. How can I fix this?
Genx Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Maybe use id's instead of relying on record numbers?
rome33 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 All the scripts and relationships DO use ID's or names that we have given them but IWP is looking for records that do not correlate with the actual database file. Is the database corrupt or something? why are the record numbers not the same if IWP is just supposed to be publishing the exact database from the filemaker file? I can't keep going and deleting records and recreating them because no one can edit them on the web.
rome33 Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 upgraded to Filemaker 8 Server Advanced and this problem is now mysteriously fixed...
