djc728 Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Hello all: I'm in the process of possibly converting a FM6 database over to FM8. The FM6 database is web enabled (with the old CMDL code) and I would like to possibly create the web pages in filemaker and use IWP for the short term just to get the application functional and then convert those web pages to PHP/FX.PHP plugin as we go along. Can someone give me their insights into IWP for FM8--any pitfalls I might run into going this route. Would it be better to just spend the time upfront and go right to PHP/FX.PHP? Thoughts? I'm talking about 60 web pages. Dom
stanley Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Dom: FMI has a web publishing tech brief which should be helpful to you. It can be found here: http://filemaker.com/products/upgrade/techbriefs.html There's also a migration tech brief which you should read, regarding the migration from 6 to 8. -Stanley
