IWP and "Database not available"

FMS8 Advanced on Windows 2003 Server

Just upgraded. Can remote access files from client, but not IWP. Successful login shows available files, but when I select one I get Explorer error "Database not available."

Another issue, don't think this is related because I used to get it in FMS7 Advanced and just ignored it because everything else was working fine. The console consistently shows "Console and Web Servers Require Restart." If I select I get "An unexpected error has occurred."

Has anyone seen and resolved similar issues?

TIA

John

Usually that means that the Web part of FMSA was not installed/configured properly (or in the correct order). Try uninstalling the WPE and installing again.

That appears to be the case. Did a reinstall this morning -- very methodically. Once I create the account in WPE and I come to the screen for configuring the connection to FMS. It has the fields for showing which machine WPE is on (relative to FMS) but I'm not getting the fields to enter the passcode and identifier (which I expect to see based on the install instructions). I've already configured the identifier and passcode in FMS. I going to try FM tech support.

TX much,

John

Resolved, if not actually solved. Installed on a clean box and everything went by the book. That works for me, I'm just the developer.
