March 21, 200619 yr I posted this somewhere tonight but can't find the post so maybe I didn't post all all - maybe elsewhere. So quickly here it is. My cable modem IP is, for example 99.98.97.96. My computer IP is 192.168.0.10. IWP is enabled for port 591. What do I do to allow my neighbor access to my db? 192.168.0.10:591 works fine inhouse for IWP shared db's but what is the path for outside access via 99.98.97.96? This may well be so simple that the answer has never been asked for before - I think the web's too big and my brain too small!
March 22, 200619 yr You will need to set up port forwarding for your neighbor to be able to see your computer. Depending on the manufacturer of your router, you can usually go on line and they will have directions as to how to set up port forwarding for you computer. A quick website to see your internal IP address is www.whatismyip.com just for fun : In Kindness Stephen K Knight
