Ocean West Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I have a file that NO checkboxes are active for IWP under Accounts & Privelages but yet it still shows on the IWP page.. any attempt to access it with any password fails. How do I remove this file from showing up all together?
Ocean West Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 here is the info... I have been hitting my head on this one.. I have one file that WILL NOT stop sharing or keep it from showing up on the IWP home page. And another that it set to share but won't display. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the WPE and console on the x Serve but it still is behaving the same way and on the counsole where you can see the list of published databases it is - empty. When I first installed it they were there but now it is always empty.
Genx Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Firstly we are talking about IWP not CWP right? Isn't the setting for it to not be displayed in IWP home page under Edit --> Sharing --> Instant Web Publishing? If you've turned it off, and it still shows up the only thing i could really think of doing was re-installing both the web pub engine, and FM itself. Anyway, this probably wasn't much help because i've not even a clue what x Serve is so yay, can't say i didn't try . ~Genx
Ocean West Posted July 2, 2006 Author Posted July 2, 2006 Thanks Genx but that path is if you are sharing using a client version of FM Pro, I am using FileMaker Server Advance the database is hosted on the FMS server.
Genx Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Hmmm, i thought that was called CWP. Oh well, i know absolutley nothing about web publishing to be honest so.. sorry.
skrying Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I have the same problem, using Server 7 Advanced. Any ideas??? Anyone?
skrying Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 In the meantime, it is possible to simply hide the databases from showing up: http://fmforums.com/forum/showtopic.php?fid/51/tid/175662/pid/221263/ That still leaves them accessible, however...
