Goto Related Record Not Working

Featured Replies

Using Filemaker 6 Unlimited

Ok, I have some databases that I am sharing with Instant Web Publishing and the button in the portal that are designated as "Goto Related Record" are not working in this particular database. After running some tests on my local machine with a copy of the database I found that if I removed the underscore from the filenames of the databases the buttons would work. The reason it has the underscore is because the databases were created long ago when that was the to make the file hidden when sharing (back before I inherited the database).

Now my has anyone else seen this behavior before? I am a little wary of renaming all the files, even though I have the developer tool to do it. I have had a couple files that ran through the developer tool to rename them become corrupt. I don't think it was the developer tool that corrupted the files because they didn't become corrupt until a few days after running them through the renaming tool, but I am unsure, so I am little wary to run my live databases through.

Not before FM7 could you get any scripts running - Except buttons leading to new layouts!

well all the button does is "Go To Related Record"... there is no script created.

And it works fine it I remove the underscore from the filename. I am just curious if there is any way for me to get around this other than renaming all the files.
