You can use CDML to cause Filemaker to perform scripts.

HOWEVER, you have to remember that you are NOT in Filemaker, you are in a web browser. You also are sharing the same FMP session with all other web users. There is alot of stuff that you can do in a copy of FMP that is simply not possible when served to the web.
