Newbies Finn Posted October 11, 2000 Newbies Posted October 11, 2000 I would like to know if anyone has a way to upload files over the web (not ftp) either into a FileMaker database or saved into a directory on the host server? I have seen the HTML source needed for this to work, but have yet to figure out what's needed on the server side.
Newbies robster Posted October 24, 2000 Newbies Posted October 24, 2000 In order to upload using a browser via a form, you need a web server capable of browser uploads. For example, WebSTAR 3.x and 4.x have an Upload Plug-In that enables this feature. I may be wrong, but I don't think that FileMaker Pro is capable of this.
Newbies Finn Posted October 24, 2000 Author Newbies Posted October 24, 2000 Hey, thanks for the response. Jeeze, for a while there I was wondering if anyone had a clue what I was asking about. Do you know if Windows NT 4 or Windows 2000 has this capability built in somehow?
Arin Posted September 10, 2002 Posted September 10, 2002 Anyone have any tips on how to do this using Apache (as in on OS X) ?
Garry Claridge Posted September 10, 2002 Posted September 10, 2002 Have a look at this thread: "Using Filemaker Online" - "File Upload & PHP" All the best. Garry
Arin Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 I'll check it out, but I'm not currently running PHP, is there anyway to do it using CGI/Perl, or am I goin to have to setup PHP? -Arin
Garry Claridge Posted September 11, 2002 Posted September 11, 2002 PHP comes with OS X. To activate it you remove the comments from the httpd.conf file. Garry
