agtjazz Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Ok I was warned, but I just need to clarify that I am understanding this correctly. My goal: Create a travelling_app database that has a layout on the web (via iwp) for folks to fill out on the web. An admin type person will have filemaker 8.5 on her computer to access other reports and layouts in the database. The database will be hosted by Filemaker Adv Server 8 sitting on a Mac OSX (10.4.7 or so) I was hoping to have a submit button for the user to push when the app is completed. With the button pushed, the record would be comitted and an email will be fired off to the user and admin confirming the submission. It is my understanding that an email app has to be configured to send the email? And a person has to manually hit send on the server's email app? I ask these as questions... cuz it just doesn't make sense to me and I am thinking my end goal is a common need. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
