November 6, 200025 yr Generally it isn't recommended to run a FMP and AppleShare service on the same machine. I've been told the web access feature of ASIP conflicts with Web Companion. Try quitting the AppleShare and see what happens.

November 7, 200025 yr Author well, how do you do that? if i start fm 4.1 on mac on i client choose open->host i can only open local hosts an not a remote host by entering the ip. FM 4 on win can connect to a remote host. am i doing somethng wrong on the mac?

November 7, 200025 yr It sounds like the Mac FMP client's networking is set to AppleTalk. Change it to TCP/IP asap! Edit menu, Preferences, Application. Restart FMP for the change to take effect.
