Adding field to layout - not working

I am adding a field to a layout in FMP Pro 5.0 - I have then tried to establish the same layout on the web - everything works except for the new field I have added in FMPro. I have tried playing around with the layout but no luck - when I creat a new field and it is added to the lay out - it works on the web.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I had a crack at creating a totaly new layout with the fields I wanted - this seemed to work - I was able to access the field via the web. I copied across the other layout details into the new layout then changed the name to the layout name I wanted. What still gets me is why is this occuring? Any ideas?

Probably some typo or space left.

I have all fields in one FM layout "CGI". That is common name for some kind of back processing.

Because I am just creating this single CGI layout and FM cannot be on the wrong one.

FM automatically creates the names of fields. When copying them to the HTML layout, it is just simple copy/paste step, so I never ever had problem with typo.

There was some discussion about speed with many fields on one layout.

I did some tests:

Layout with 5 fields – split second

Layout with fields > 1000 – split second

I could not spot the difference.
