Forgive me if you have received a similar post...

I have set up a few filemaker databases on Win 2000 and are serving them with the web companion plug in at 216.216.217.117 (you can enter the guest database using: username: Guest and Password: password).

I am trying to figure out how a record can be emailed directly from the web page to a customer? Can this be accomplished using only the web companion and a script or CDML? If so could someone point me in the right direction?

This will require Custom Web publishing, which means learning CDML.

Don't need developer. Do need the CDML Reference database which has all the CDML codes, their syntax and useage -- it is a reference not a tutorial. Get it from the FileMaker Inc web site under downloads.

Also if you can get a copy of Home Page 3. It's NLA but you might find the 30 trial somewhere (just keep installing it).

Does this require the purchasing of FM Developer?

Not necessarily, although there is more information available.

I've never used developer version in my life...
