I have just installed FM Server 8 Advanced and need to run the IWP on port 591 instead of port 80... Where/how do I change it? It was working on my FMP 8.5 Advanced setup. Thanks

You'll have to change your webserver port -- On windows you go through control panel, admin tools, iis admin and just change it there. On Mac OS, i have no clue, but just google on how to change the Mac webserver port.

... In fact what makes you think its 591 in the first place?

Maybe i'm wrong and IWP operates differently from CWP but doubt it.

Thanks for the effort and info,

Port 591 is used as one that FM has identified /reserved for it's use (which you knew) and as I have a web server already on Port 80 I configured FM on 591...

For anyone else in need of this...

I did get the port changed done and yes I had to change the Apache web server (built into Mac OSX) to listen on port 591.

Not real easy only because the file is hidden and I needed an app to make it visible (I'm not to up on the Terminal access) I used Mac Pilot for that, then had to open the file with a cocoa text editor which I used Smultron and made the one change from 80 to 591... restarted the server and away it went! Thanks again for the clue!

Here is a link to the instruction that worked for me.

Sorry the link for the instructions was not complete above... to long I guess? make sure you add the second line to this link ( .html )

... Hmmm, well I was referring to server, not FM Pro hosting, but hey, if it works, it works
