First-time IWP user, so I'm sure I'm doing something lame, but...when I try to turn on IWP, I get the spinning beach ball for about a minute, then a dialog that says, "FileMaker cannot share files over the Web because Instant Web Publishing could not be started."

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks...

I'm surprised FM8 runs on Leopard at all, however the official line from FMI is that 8.5 was fixed to run under Leopard - BUT WEB PUBLISHING WILL NOT RUN AND WILL NOT BE FIXED.

Upgrade to 9.

I seem to have the same problem though I'm in Windows XP and getting the same error. When I tried IWP on my Windows Vista, it works. I have FMSA9v3.

Fair enough. I'm installing a demo version of 9 as we speak. I'll report back if I continue to have difficulties.
