Max char in IWP

I have some fields that have a maximum char limit that allows the user to override.

In IWP, it doesn't give them that option. It just says that you have exceeded the max and you hit ok (there are no other buttons) and the field reverts to blank

I even tried to allow user to override, but get the same results

Any advice? Please
