Oh. I'm dumbfounded. Surely this is a mistake.

To get the little magnifying glass to appear in a field for find mode, we have to turn SHOW FIELD FRAMES back on or it won't work!!

I have never noticed the magnifying glass in Find mode. Has it always been there?

Its new to FM 10. It was to help people realize they are in Find mode... But one of the first things that developers usually do is get rid of the annoying field frames... Large oversight.

Yes, non-feature in my opinion. And a pity because it was a nice idea to have this magnifying glass.

But since the 9 and conditional formatting, it's easy to show the user he's in find mode. Maybe if they had done it regardless of field frames some would say that they never want to see these magnifying glasses...

I agree with you, but not sure everyone would.
